Donetsk, Mar 15 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic has asked representatives of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine to help arrange a Contact Group video conference to agree the “Easter ceasefire” in Donbass, DPR envoy to the Minsk talks Denis Pushilin said on Thursday.

“Pursuant to the order of DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko, the Republic requested the OSCE today to help arrange an extraordinary Contact Group video conference to discuss the “Easter ceasefire” from April 1 and its basic terms,” Pushilin said in a statement received by the Donetsk News Agency.

The DPR envoy expressed the hope that the Contact Group and the international community would support the Republic’s peace initiatives.

On Wednesday, DPR head Alexander Zakharchenko suggested announcing the “Easter ceasefire” in Donbass starting April 1 in the runup to Easter and ordered Pushilin to discuss its basic terms at a video conference next week. *jk
