Donetsk, May 6 – DAN. DPR People's Council adopted draft law on amending DPR law on Special Measures for Protection of DPR Interests (Sanctions), unanimously supported by all 84 MPs present.

The chairman of the parliament Denis Pushilin explained that the measure is aimed against persons who harm DPR.

"We extended the list of persons who harm DPR and fund the war, or commit other actions qualifying as harmful for DPR. The draft law envisages economic sanctions against such persons, which is logical and necessary."

Pushilin added that the list of persons under sanctions is currently at law enforcement authorities.
The first draft law on sanctions was adopted on 23 October 2015 in emergency mode in two readings. It was a follow-up to DPR Head Alexander Zakharchenko's decree on sanctions against a number of oligarchs signed on November 2.

Sanctions include accounts freeze, ban on economic activities in DPR, restrictions on importing or exporting cargo.*ot
