Donetsk, Apr 4 – DAN. Kiev's representatives keep avoiding their responsibilities and impede the Minsk process, turning the political group work into a vicious circle, said DPR acting Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
"Kiev's representatives keep avoiding their responsibilities despite the requirements of the coordinator from the OSCE, they keep trying to turn the Minsk process into a formality leading to no changes," she said.
"They block the work of the political group and turn it into a vicious circle. In the Normandy Four format Kiev speaks against the discussion of the Steinmeier formula in Minsk, while in Minsk they refuse to work on this compromise without the directions of the Normandy Four."
The way out of the deadlock lies in thorough implementation of the Minsk Agreements through effective cooperation of the both sides to the conflict, Nikonorova said.
The DPR insists the work should be done, first of all, in two directions: the enactment of Donbass special status law and the amnesty. These two issues are the basis for political settlement, for further implementation of the Minsk Agreements, she added.
Another round of peace talks took place on Wednesday in Minsk. The next meeting is scheduled for April 18. *ot
