Donetsk, May 31 - DAN. The Normandy Four meeting at a higher level should unblock the work of the Contact Group on Donbass crisis settlement, said DPR acting foreign minister Natalya Nikonorova commenting the meeting of the Normandy Four deputy foreign ministers in Berlin that took place on May 30.
"As for the today's meeting of the deputy foreign ministers, this is a preparatory stage to work out the agenda. We hope the next meeting at a higher level in the Normandy format will focus on de-blocking complicated aspects of the Minsk Agreements implementation."
She added that today Kiev is only formally sticks to the documents signed in Minsk. Though Kiev representatives ignore the agreements at the meetings of the Contact Group.
"At the political group meetings, what we see is almost a sabotage of the talks. Kiev has not yet provided its official position, and a road map is still being viewed as a means of re-writing the Package of Measures," Nikonorova said.
The deputy foreign ministers of Russia, Germany, France and Ukraine met in Berlin on May 30, the talks lasted for almost four hours. Russian deputy minister Grigoriy Karasin said afterwards, that the meeting focused on "the key painful aspects of the Minsk Agreements" to prepare high- and highest-level talks. He emphasized the meetings of that kind depend on the Contact Group meetings as the settlement is impossible without the engagement of Donbass representatives who participate in the Minsk format only. *ot
