Donetsk, Aug 23 – DAN. Kiev makes no effort to prolong the law on Donbass special status, while the document expires on October 18 this year, said acti¬ng DPR Foreign Minist¬er Natalia Nikonorova.
"As long the law ‘On special procedure of local self-government in separate districts of the Donetsk and Luhansk regions' expires on October 18, 2017 the issue of implementing all featues of our special status remains on table. Ukraine's representatives cannot come up with their position on steps to prevent the expiration of the law neither in the Normandy Four, nor in Minsk formats ad they avoid discussing the consequences," she said.
Nikonorova added that "Kiev's inaction can result in the impossibility of implementation of the Minsk talks political agenda which would obstruct the whole peaceful settlement."
The political subgroup has not reached any substantial results in the recent meetings as Kiev avoids discussing the special status law and ignores the responsibilities it has assumed earlier. *ot
