Donetsk, Aug 4 - DAN. DPR representatives do not expect a breakthrough at the next round of Donbass peace talks in Minsk, DPR envoy to Minsk talks, Peoples Council chairman Denis Pushilin said as the Republic’s parliament opened its autumn session on Friday.
“Regrettably, we have no reasons to expect major changes at the next meeting in Minsk,” Pushilin told DPR legislators.
The agenda remains the same with security on contact line being among priorities. “Let’s recall the “harvest ceasefire. It only helped ease tensions which always tend to mount in late August,” he said.
The next meeting of the Contact Group and its working groups is due on 23 August. The previous meeting between the parties to the conflict took place in the Belarus capital on 2 August.*jk
