Donetsk, Sep 3 - DAN. The Contact Group did not coordinate documents on mine action or disengagement of forces and hardware in Donbass at its video conference on September 2, the Donetsk People’s Republic representative to the Contact Group, DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova said on Thursday.
A report on the official website of the Ukrainian president on Wednesday alleged that the Contact Group had agreed four new areas for the disengagement of forces and hardware as well as 19 mine clearance locations in Donbass.
“The Office of the Ukrainian president showed an amazing level of hypocrisy and complete separation from the existing reality yesterday,” Nikonorova said. “There is no other way to describe the statement published by the Office after the Contact Group meeting. We reiterate that the Contact Group at its session never coordinated draft documents on mine action or disengagement of forces and hardware.”
The DPR foreign minister underlined that the parties had reached preliminary consensus on these projects. “However, it’s not tantamount to their final coordination and signing,” she said.*jk
