Donetsk, Feb 10 – DAN. Donetsk strongly condemns the statements of the head of the Ukrainian delegation to the Minsk talks, Leonid Kravchuk, on the absence of ceasefire in Donbass, the press service of the DPR delegation to the peace talks said.
It should be noted that the day before Kravchuk, in a commentary to the Ukrainian newspaper Gordon, said that “there is simply no truce; we can no longer pretend that it is." According to him, Ukraine should respond to force with force, and shots with shots. Earlier, on February 7, Kravchuk announced the same thesis on the air of the Ukraine-24 TV channel. He also accused the Republic of shelling and violating peace agreements.
“Representatives of the Republic at the Minsk talks strongly condemn this position and call for an immediate end to the escalation both on the line of contact and within the framework of public statements. Once again, we strongly recommend that Mr. Kravchuk, before voicing the need to intensify hostilities in Donbass, gets acquainted with the goals and objectives of the negotiation process," the DPR delegation press statement reads. *ot
