Donetsk, Jul 5 – DAN. The DPR and LPR have proposed to hold a one-time meeting of the Normandy Four political advisers and representatives of the US and Donbass Republics, the DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova said.
"We do not welcome, nor do we see a possibility to change the N4 format in any way, including the US membership. Nevertheless, we do not exclude their one-time participation on a parity basis with the DPR and LPR," she said.
According to the minister, US involvement could "galvanise the conflict settlement and possible finding new solutions to the current situation within the Minsk talks".
"We believe that this approach will provide a uniform coverage of the Donbass situation and will dismantle the wall of one-sided Ukrainian informational psychobabble," she added.
Nikonorova said that the extent of US influence over Ukrainian policies suggests that the peace settlement might regain momentum after such meeting.
She emphasised that any initiatives at odds with the Minsk Agreements must not be tolerated. *ot
