Donetsk, Apr 12 — DAN. “United Russia” has established a city branch in Donetsk, the press service of the all-Russia political party reported on Wednesday.
The city branch which already has 17,000 members will be led by incumbent Donetsk mayor Alexey Kulemzin. It held the founding session earlier in the day, the press service said.
“There are no outsiders in the team we’ve built. They help solve residents’ problems every day. We are making plans despite ongoing shelling and have a development program for 2023 and the next two or three years, ” the Party’s press service quoted Kulemzin as saying. “Of course, much depends on the situation on the front, but we’re doing everything possible and impossible to create comfortable conditions for residents.”
“United Russia” is the largest political party of the Russian Federation. It was founded on December 1, 2001 through a merger of the “Unity” movement and the Fatherland — All Russia and Our Home is Russia election blocs. The Party set up its regional branch in the DPR in 2022 after the Republic’s accession to Russia. Denis Pushilin was elected its secretary.*jk
