Donetsk, Aug 21 – DAN. The members of the Conract Group have agreed to reinforce the current ceasefire, said the DPR Foreign Minister Natalia Nikonorova.
"The negotiators reached an understanding that the current ceasefire should be reinforced on the eve of the new academic year. Strict adherence to the additional control measures stipulated in the Contact Group's statement are essential for that purpose," she said.
Nikonorova said that earlier Kiev sought to politicize the discussion on security issues by initiating extraordinary video conferences, but yet failing to provide any results of investigation into shelling incidents when DPR territory was targeted and their aftermath.
"We have indicated a principal necessity of a direct dialog that should be efficient and substantive. To make it so, its basis should be constituted on investigations results and following measures applied to offenders made available to public by Kiev. We count on the OSCE's active position in this case."
An indefinite and comprehensive ceasefire came into force in Donbass on July 21. *ot
