Donetsk, May 29 — DAN. No changes in military arts have diminished the status of artillery which remains the god of war even now.
A Donetsk News Agency correspondent visited positions of Donetsk 1st Army Corps 132nd Brigade whose 122mm self-propelled howitzer “Gvozdika” and a tank delivered fire at enemy units in the Dzerzhinsk area on Monday.
“I enlisted four years ago in an artillery unit. I had no military skills back then, and quickly learned everything here, ” a 132nd Brigade serviceman told DAN.
He said that had worked as a locksmith before starting his army career and that he did not regret changing his civil profession for a military one.
“I came forward to defend my Motherland; it’s important to me. When we get assignments we respond immediately and move out to fire at the enemy. We do it accurately and quickly, ” the serviceman said.*jk
