Donetsk, Jun 15 — DAN. Donetsk has been famous for its roses since the Soviet era as the city of million roses. It upholds its name in wartime: back in 2017, Donetsk sprouted two million roses. Utility companies continue to plant new rose bushes amid artillery attacks.
A Donetsk News Agency reporter made photos of the blooming city and appreciated Zelenstroy company landscaping efforts.
“About 1,000 rose bushes were planted in Donetsk’s Voroshilovsky district, ‘Zelenstroy’ employee Anna told DAN. ‘We do landscaping in the Voroshilovsky district to beautify the city despite artillery strikes or bad weather. ’
