Donetsk, Sep 22 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations have opened artillery fire at central Donetsk on Thursday. A powerful strike was delivered at the Central (indoor) Market and adjacent territory.
Kiev gunmen delivered fire from the occupied Orlovka using 155mm projectiles which impacted near the Indoor Market building and flower shops and hit a Route 38 mini-bus. Six people including a teenager were killed and another six were wounded in the shelling, according to the latest reports. Rescuers and medics arrived at the scene.
Representatives of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes (JCCC) and Russia’s’ Investigative Committee arrived at the scene to record the fact of a war crime. Shell fragments will be sent for expert examination.
It is a second strike by Ukrainian nationalists at a public place in Donetsk in the past four days. On September 19, they shelled Baku Commissars Square in the Kuibyshevsky district of the DPR capital killing 13 people and wounding another eight.*jk
