Donetsk, May 26 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have shelled the “Motel” area in the Kalininsky district of Donetsk twice on Friday.
The second strike was delivered as a Donetsk News Agency correspondent was taking a video of the damaged Republican Center for Occupational Pathology and Rehabilitation. He took shelter in the hospital cellar together with personnel of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes.
A 36-year-old employee of the research center located in the district was killed in the attack, and another two women, aged 55 and 76, were wounded.
The Republican Center for Occupational Pathology and Rehabilitation, the Republican Clinical Tuberculosis Hospital and a petrol station were damaged. The research center took a direct hit. Nine electrical substations went offline leaving 627 customers without electricity.
