Donetsk, Nov 9 - DAN. Ukrainian secret services are planning to assassinate heads of law-enforcement bodies of the Lugansk People’s Republic,” the DPR State Security Ministry press service said on Thursday.
“DPR State Security Ministry (MGB) has information that Ukrainian secret services are planning to kill heads of LPR law-enforcement bodies with the view of destabilising the Donbass political situation,” the MGB press service said.
MGB obtained the information from detained agents of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) and the Ukrainian Defence Ministry’s Main Intelligence Department (GUR) who said assassination plans were being implemented.
"At present, DPR and LPR law-enforcement bodies are taking measures to expose and detain Ukrainian commandos,” the press service said.
MGB said Ukrainian secret services were active amid successful countermeasures by the Republics’ law-enforcers to detain members of Ukrainian terrorist groups. *jk
