Donetsk, Oct 9 – DAN. The DPR Court Martial has sentenced two residents of Donetsk to 14 years in prison for spying for Ukraine, the Prosecutor General's office told DAN.

"The DPR Court Martial as a chamber of the DPR Supreme Court found P. and G. charged with offence under Art. 321 DPR Penal Code (espionage) guilty, and sentenced them to 14 years in prison," the press service said.

According to the Prosecutor General's office, the convicts began cooperating with Ukraine in February 2015; they were tasked with collecting and passing information on military equipment movements and DPR units location.
"Citizen G. (female) acting in favor of the Defense ministry of Ukraine co-oped citizen P. to obtain and hand over military information to be used against Republican security," the statement reads.

Earlier, a Makeyevka resident had been sentenced to 22 years in prison for involvement in plotting a coup. *ot
