Donetsk, Mar 17 — DAN. A special task unit of the Federal National Guard Service (Rosgvardiya) has detained a former Ukrainian serviceman outside Mariupol on suspicion of aiding Ukrainian nationalists, the Rosgvardiya press service reported on Friday.

“According to the information from DPR law-enforcement bodies, the detainee might have passed coordinates of Russian troops deployment sites and routes of movement to the enemy, ” the report said.

Rosgvardia offices checked the suspect’s house and utility sheds for weapons and explosives. He had destroyed his military uniform and documents and hid his individual protective gear. The detainee was handed over to Donetsk People’s Republic police.*jk
