Donetsk, Jan 17 — DAN. One person has been killed in a Kiev army artillery strike at the hotel in Lenin Street in Volnovakha, the Donetsk People’s Republic Emergencies Ministry press service reported on Tuesday.
The roof of the hotel, the second and third floors and windows were damaged by shelling. The hotel building partially collapsed, the press service said.
There were eight people in the hotel; seven of them evacuated on their own. The body of a woman was retrieved from under the debris at 4:28. Two pieces of equipment and nine rescuers are involved in a debris clearing operation.
Overnight to Tuesday, the bodies of two women were retrieved from under the debris of a retail and office building which was ruined by a Ukrainian artillery strike at Donetsk. On Monday evening, rescuers found the body of a man at the scene.*jk
