Donetsk, Oct 25 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen have fired 170 projectiles at the Donetsk People’s Republic on Tuesday causing civilian casualties and damage to energy infrastructure.

Two men, aged 62 and 32, were wounded in Somov Street in Donetsk’s Kuibyshevsky district.  Artillery strikes also damaged windows of school No 52 in Electronnaya Street and an apartment house in the Azotny neighbourhood.

Damage was caused to production shops of a company in Donetsk’s Leninsky district; a power outage affected 17 electrical substations in the Kirovsky district leaving 1,200 customers without electricity in the Lidiyevka and Biryuzova settlements, and in Petrovsky district, damage was caused to windows, roofs, and utility sheds of two single-family homes.

Ten electrical substations went offline as Makeyevka came under fire. Three boiler houses, a kindergarten and 2,300 customers were left without electricity.

Ukrainian forces reopened fire at DPR areas at around 7:00 a.m. The enemy used missile and cannon artillery including 155mm “NATO standard” pieces targeting five districts of Donetsk, Makeyevka, Gorlovka, Dokuchayevsk, Yasinovataya, and the suburban settlements of Yakovlevka, Kashtanovoye, Mineralnoye and Krasny Partizan.

Earlier report said that several civil infrastructure facilities including a hospital and a school were damaged in Gorlovka in Ukrainian artillery attacks on Tuesday morning.
