Donetsk, Sep 14 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic on Thursday handed over to Kiev 19 convicted persons who will serve their prison terms in Ukraine, DPR ombudsperson’s press service said.
“Today, 19 inmates serving their sentences in DPR prisons, who asked to be moved to Ukrainian penitentiaries, have been handed over to Kiev,” the press service said.
The procedure ran as planned; DPR has handed over to Ukraine 166 inmates in total over the period of the conflict.
The Republic relocates inmates in accordance with the DPR leader’s decree on “handing over convicted persons held in DPR penitentiaries and criminal case materials in possession of DPR courts and investigation bodies to Ukraine.”*jk
