Young woman, newborn killed in Ukrainian strike on Rovnopol

Donetsk, Jun 22 — DAN. A young woman and a newborn have been killed by Ukrainian shelling of Rovnopol outside Volnovakha, the JCCC said.

“DPR Mission’s to JCCC received spot reports on the death of two civilians — a woman born in 2001 and her child, a boy born in 2022 — as a Ukrainian projectile hit a residential house at 22 Oktyabrskaya street in Rovnopol,” the JCCC said.

Rovnopol is located 20 km southwest of Volnovakha, and at the same distance from the nearest Ukrainian positions. It was liberated from Ukrainian occupation in early March. *ot
