Donetsk, Jan 24 — DAN. Two motive power maintenance depot workers were wounded in Ilovaisk as it came under Ukrainian artillery fire at night, town mayor Ruslan Dudnikov told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“Damage was largely caused to railway infrastructure, ” Dudnikov said. “Office buildings, electrical substations and the locomotive maintenance center were damaged. One employee suffered a light wound and the other is in medium severity condition.”
Railway workers are implementing damage control. A power cable was severed by an impacting projectile leaving part of town customers without electricity, he added.
Earlier reports said that Ukrainian forces fired a US-made high mobility artillery rocket system at Ilovaisk at night expended seven missiles in several minutes.*jk
