Donetsk, Dec 7 — DAN. Ukrainian armed formations shelled the center of Donetsk and Gorlovka on Tuesday evening and overnight to Wednesday damaging a hospital, a university teaching block and apartment houses, local authorities said.
In Gorlovka, Hospital No 3 came under fire after 22:00. A Ukrainian projectile hit the hospital roof and collapsed a floor slab panel in the pulmonology unit. There were patients inside at the time of the strike.
The enemy fired four 152mm artillery rounds at the town. No casualties were reported.
In Donetsk’s Voroshilovsky district, a direct hit started a fire at the computer center of the Donetsk National University at around 1:00. The strike damaged kindergarten No 26, an office building and nine apartment buildings.
The fire at the university had destroyed 50 square meters of roof and flooring before it was extinguished at 2:33. Donetsk was again attacked by enemy “Grad” multiple rocket launchers; no civilian casualties were reported.
