Donetsk, Aug 4 — DAN. A Russia Today television channel journalist has been wounded in Kiev gunmen’s strike at central Donetsk on Thursday, the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.
“A journalist of the Russian television channel ‘RT’ (Russia Today) is on the list of the people who were wounded in the Voroshilovsky district of the Donetsk People’s Republic capital, ” the JCCC said.
Earlier, Donetsk city administration head Alexey Kulemzin said that a Russian television journalist had suffered shell shock and hand abrasion when the Donbass Palace Hotel area had come under fire.
On Thursday, Ukrainian armed formations launched a massive artillery attack at central Donetsk. Fire was delivered at Pushkin Boulevard and the square next to the Donbass Palace Hotel and the Donetsk State Academic Opera and Ballet Theatre. Five people were killed and another six were wounded in the Ukrainian attack. Enemy projectiles also damaged several buildings, road surface, trees and transmission lines.*jk
