Donetsk, Nov 21 — DAN. Engineers have restored power to most Donetsk district after the Smolyanka-220 transformer substation took damage from Ukrainian artillery fire, city mayor Alexey Kulemzin said.

“Energy workers have restored power to most Donetsk districts, ” Kulemzin said adding that 69,000 customers now have electricity.

Earlier reports said that power outages had affected some 50,000 customers in Donetsk. Subsequent reports said that the number of people left without electricity had increased. Power outages affected 758 electrical substations, 67 boiler houses and 105,800 customers in Donetsk’s Voroshilovsky, Kievsky, Kirovsky and Kuibyshevsky districts and parts of Leninsky district. *jk
