Donetsk, Sep 27 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic police officers confiscated cartridges, grenades, fuzes and other ammunition from two residents over the weekend, the DPR Interior Ministry press service reported on Monday.

“Some 90 5.45mm cartridges were confiscated from a Torez resident. In Donetsk’s Leninsky district, police confiscated three grenades, two fuzes and other explosive ordnance,” the report said.

The confiscated items were sent to the Interior Ministry’s expert examination centre, the press service said.

The suspects are liable to prosecution under DPR Criminal Code Article 256 for illegal acquisition, keeping or carrying of firearms, explosives or ammunition. They face a large fine and up to four years in prison.

Last week, police confiscated electric detonators, grenades and fuzes in Donetsk and Gorlovka.*jk
