Donetsk, Dec 9 - DAN. Ukrainian forces opened fire at the south of the Donetsk People’s Republic when Deputy Chief Monitor of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission to Ukraine Mark Etherington was visiting the area, DPR People’s Militia deputy commander Eduard Basurin said on Thursday.
“128th Brigade gunmen delivered this provocative strike when OSCE SMM Deputy Chief Monitor Mark Etherington was near the Bezymennoye village together with other SMM personnel,” Basurin said. “Ukrainian gunmen thus put the lives of international monitors in danger.”
The incident occurred in the Bezymennoye village area on Wednesday. Kiev forces were delivering fire with grenade launchers. “It was aimed fire as the Ukrainian side at the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination had been notified about the arrival of OSCE personnel in advance,” he added.
The DPR is expecting a proper reaction from the OSCE Mission leadership to Ukrainian gunmen’s aggressive actions.*jk
