Dоnetsk, Dec 29 — DAN. Ten Donetsk Railways (DonZhD) workers have been wounded in shelling by Ukrainian forces in 2022; one of them died of his wounds, Director General of the state-owned company Oleg Kalevatykh said on Thursday.
“Our people are fully dedicated to work in the conditions of wartime often risking their lives, ” the DonZhD press service quoted Kalevatykh as saying. “In 2022, ten employees were wounded at their workplaces by artillery fire at railway areas and infrastructure; one of them died.”
Donetsk Railways is the largest transport company of the Donetsk People’s Republic which currently operates 60 commuter trains on various routes and two passenger trains for the Yasinovataya-Lugansk and Yasinovataya-Uspenskaya rail links. DonZhD also provides cargo transportation servivces.*jk
