Donetsk, Jul 5 — DAN. Ukrainian gunmen used a US-made high mobility artillery rocket system (HIMARS) to shell Makeyevka’s Chervonogvardeisky district on Tuesday evening, said the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes following a probe.
The Ukrainian army’s 27 Separate Missile Artillery Brigade fired at least four M-31 fragmentation missiles from Alexeyevo-Druzhkovka outside Konstantinovka at 21:20, the JCCC said.
A 62-year-old man was killed in the Tuesday attack and another 68 people including three children (two girls aged 3 and 14 and a seven-year-old boy) were wounded. Damage was caused to nine health care facilities, a school, a kindergarten and 42 homes.
The blast wave was felt by residents of all Makeyevka districts, Donetsk and several neighboring settlements.*jk
