Donetsk, Sep 19 - DAN. A Donetsk People’s Republic resident has been sentenced to 17 years for passing the Ukrainian security service sensitive information about the location of a military unit and militiaman personal data, the DPR Prosecutor General’s Office press service reported on Thursday.
“On July 31, 2019, the DPR Supreme Court Appeals Chamber found DPR resident A.Malyukh guilty of the crime covered by DPR Criminal Code Article 320 (high treason) and sentenced him to 17 years in a maximum security penitentiary,” the report said.
The investigators found that in the summer of 2017, Malyukh passed information on the location of a military unit and militiaman personal data to an agent of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) for remuneration. He was fully aware that the information he had passed would be used against DPR security,” the PGO press service said.
Earlier reports said that a Gorlovka resident had been sentenced to 15 years for spying for Ukraine.*jk
