Donetsk, Dec 6 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic parliament member Maria Pirogova has been killed in Ukrainian gunmen’s artillery attack at Donetsk on Tuesday.
Pirogova was in the Central Department Store area at the time of the attack, the parliament press service told the Donetsk News Agency.
Earlier reports said that Kiev forces had fired “Grad” multiple rocket launchers at the area killing six civilians.
Maria Pirogova was born on May 13, 1993 in Donetsk. She studied at school No 139 and Donetsk State University of Management (renamed to Donetsk Academy of Management and Civil Service under the Head of the Donetsk People’s Republic) She worked at the DPR Information Ministry from 2015 to 2018. In 2018, she was elected to the parliament as a candidate from the Donetsk Republic social movement. In the DPR parliament, she was secretary of the committee on external policy, international relations, information policy and IT technology. She also engaged in volunteer activities.*jk
