Donetsk, Jun 12 — DAN. A young woman has been killed in an Ukrainian artillery attack on the Kievsky district of Donetsk.
The victim was in a shop when the area came under fire. A piece of shrapnel pierced her lung and she died by the time an ambulance arrived. The strike targeted the railway station area. It caused damage to trade outlets and railway tracks.
Personnel of the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination of issues related to Ukraine’s war crimes are working at the scene. According to preliminary information, the enemy used multiple rocket launchers.
Donetsk mayor Alexey Kulemzin said that the victim was 20 years old. A projectile severed trolleybus overhead wires and windows were smashed in an apartment house in Artyom Street, he said.
