Donetsk, Sep 1 — DAN. Federal budget allocations to develop the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics and the Zaporozhye and Kherson regions in the next 2.5 years will reach almost two trillion rubles, President Vladimir Putin said in the course of the Talking of What Matters open lesson on Friday.
“I think that in the next 2.5 years, federal sources alone will allocate nearly two trillion rubles — 1.9 trillion — to develop these territories; it’s good money, ” the RIA Novosti news agency quoted Putin as saying.
One of priorities is to ensure national welfare standards in the new regions in medicine, education, infrastructure development and rebuilding, he said.
Though these things are prosaic, they are still very important to people: public utilities, roads, and the rebuilding of higher education, cultural and industrial facilities and agriculture, the president said.*jk
