Mariupol, May 31 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic Head Denis Pushilin said that it is planned to use Mariupol’s trade port as a transshipment hub for various types of cargoes including grain.

«As the port will handle all types of cargo, including grain, a part of the elevators will be restored to meet the Republic’s needs, ” Pushilin said.

Mariupol’s trade port was fully freed from Ukrainian gunmen on April 13; the demining works were completed on May 25. On May 29, a cargo loading operation began on the Russian bulk carrier of the type Slavutich, the first vessel that entered the port after the liberation of the city. On Tuesday morning, the vessel sailed to the port of destination.*jk
