Donetsk, Oct 6 – DAN. The only DPR factory of shaped electric-welded pipes Metallist started production in Makeyevka.
The launching ceremony was attended by Ministers of Revenues and Duties, Industry and Trade Alexander Timofeev and Alexey Granovsky and the city mayor Valery Lyakhovets and director general of public enterprise Donbassteploenergo (heating and energy agency) Ruslan Kaplenko.
The factory is situated in Chervonogvardeiskiy district. It stood idle for two years due to ongoing military action and disruption of economic ties with Ukraine. Today the factory management plans to sell domestically and to export.
"We already have long-term partners in Russia that are eager to purchase from us. The output is limited yet, but we plan to raise it up to three thousand tons per month," Metallist CEO Evgeniy Veretyuk said.
"Production start will provide stable and smooth heat supply as pipes will be produced domestically and there will be no need to purchase in Russia as we used to do," he explained.
Today is a second birth day for Metallist, established in 1996. Before the war its share on the Ukrainian market of shaped small and medium sizes pipes was at 10 percent level.
