Donetsk, Mar 29 — DAN. The Volodarsky district of the Donetsk People’s Republic has launched the production of seven minerals which are needed for rebuilding the civil infrastructure, district administration head Sergey Yuzvinkevich told the Donetsk news Agency on Wednesday.
“Production of granite, quarry stone, vermiculite, quartz, limestone, mariupolite and fieldspar has been launched in the Kalchik quarry, ” Yuzvinkevich said.
The foundation of the famous Ostankino television tower in Moscow is made of syenite which was mined in the Kalchik quarry, he said.
Earlier reports said that the Kalchik quarry had resumed the production of crushed granite.*jk
