Donetsk, Jul 19 - DAN. More than 1,000 railway infrastructure facilities have been restored in the Donetsk People’s Republic since the fighting broke out in the region, the Republic’s Transport Ministry press service told the Donetsk News Agency.
“As of today, the Donetsk Railway state-owned enterprise has restored 1,106 infrastructure facilities, including 289 buildings and structures,” the press service said.
Fifty facilities have been restored since the beginning of 2018, it added. According to the ministry’s estimates, repairs are currently needed on another 1,334 installations. Plans are in place to restore some 300 railway installations in Donetsk, Gorlovka, Yasinovataya and Nikitovka later this year.
Simultaneously with repairs and rebuilding, the DPR Transport Ministry is drawing and enacting transport system regulations. In June, it approved the railway crossings operation rules.*jk
