Donetsk, Dec 7 - DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic parliament is working on several bills towards implementation of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s decree on humanitarian assistance to Donbass, DPR lawmaker Roman Lepa from the Donetsk Republic faction said at a round table discussion on Programme 2024 on Tuesday.

On November 15, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree No 657 ordering the government to adopt measures to ease access of Donbass-made products to Russian markets and lift the export/import limitations from them. These measures will apply until the political settlement of the Donbass conflict based on the Minsk Agreements.

“The People’s Council (parliament) is working on a number of economic bills towards implementing the decree of the Russian president. They will help launch clear rules for our manufacturers’ access to the Russian market and participation in state procurements,” Lepa said.

Earlier, the DPR Ministry of Trade and Industry said that the decision by the Russian president opened new prospects for the Republic’s economy.

The round-table discussion of the DPR economic development programme for 2022-20234 was organized by the Donetsk Republic social movement. It brought together representatives of the Economic Development Ministry and the Ministry of Industry and Trade, DPR parliamentarians, business people and politicians.*jk
