Donetsk, Nov 18 - DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic metallurgical, light industry and chemical enterprises might increase exports to Russia which has eased access to its market for DPR companies. The machine-building sector would be the Republic’s top exporter, a DPR Industry and Trade Ministry official told the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.

“The exports would include products of metallurgy, machine-building and light and chimical industries,” the Ministry's Department of Industry Director Sergey Vlasov said. “Any product manufactured and exported from the Republic to Russia will have all advantages of the products of Russian origin.”

”The Ministry of Industry especially promoted machine-building because its products have the highest processing costs and profit margins. These products can now enter the Russian government procurements market which is very good as it will be of great help to the Republic’s economy,” he said.

DPR goods will freely circulate on the Russian market after customs clearance; customs quotas won’t apply, Vlasov added.

On Monday, Russian President Vladimir Putin signed Decree No 657 ordering the government to adopt measures aimed at easing access of Donbass-made products to Russian markets.  The export/import quotas will not apply to Donbass goods. These measures will be effective until the political settlement of the Donbass conflict based on the Minsk Agreements.*jk
