Donetsk, Jan 18 — DAN. Donetsk People’s Republic towns and districts reported increases in sales of industrial and agricultural products, wages, and production volumes last year, the DPR Economic Development Ministry said in comments on the economic growth in the first 11 months of 2022.

“Industrial products sales increased 1.9 times and 2.2 times year-on-year in Yenakiyevo and Makeyevka, respectively, ” the Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency. “The largest contributors to the rising sales volume were the Yuzhny Mining and Metallurgical Complex (YuGMK) branches: Makeyevka Metallurgical Plant, Makeyevka Coke Plant and Yenakiyevo Metallurgical Plant as well as the Makeyevka-based ‘Laser’ Plant.”

In Starobeshevo, mining industry and quarrying sales rose by 4.4 times. The Komsomolskoye mining administration, another branch of YuGMK, is also a major contributor to DPR economic growth. Sales of cereal and leguminous crops jumped by 181.5 percent in Torez, 194.2 percent in Donetsk, and 2.2 times in the Novoazovsk district.

The Amvrosiyevka district leads other DPR areas in egg and milk production which increased, respectively, by 141.8 percent and 159.4 percent year-on-year. The Telmanovo and Novoazovsk districts accounted for the largest increase in the number of staff employees (up 124.1 and 115.8 percent respectively). The largest monthly wages were reported in the Kirovsky district and Zhdanovka (144.1 and 136.4 percent, respectively, of the Republic’s average monthly wage).*jk
