Donetsk, Aug 9 — DAN. The Donetsk People’s Republic Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food is discussing direct supplies of Belarussian agricultural machinery, the Ministry’s press service told the Donetsk News Agency on Tuesday.
“A round table discussion has taken place with a delegation of the Liberal Democratic Party of Belarus to map out guidelines for cooperation in experience exchange and direct supplies of agricultural machinery, equipment and spare parts to DPR companies, ” the press service said.
The talks over developing the DPR agro-industrial sector are underway with Russia as well. In the recent months, the Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food has held consultations with representatives of Russia’s Lipetsk, Kursk, Voronezh and Nizhny Novgorod regions and the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia). DPR and Russian officials held conferences and toured DPR companies including enterprises in liberated areas.
Following a visit of a DPR delegation, Tula region authorities said that they would consider technical support for the Mariupol-based company “Ecoilychproduct which specializes in the production of milk, cheese and water. The company needs assistance to maintain production.
In late July, a DPR delegation led by the Republic’s leader Denis Pushilin visited the Brest region of Belarus to explore interaction opportunities. After the visit, Pushilin said that Donbass and Belarus had many opportunities for mutually advantageous cooperation.*jk
