Donetsk, Jan 11– DAN. DPR metals industry sales topped 51 billion RUR in 2016, said the Ministry of Industry and Trade.
"The volume of sales of industrial goods of steel enterprises amounted to 51.5 billion RUR ($853 million) in 2016," the annual report says.
Overall, 2.4 mln tons of coal coke were produced, 2.7 mln tons of cast iron, over 2 mln tons of steel and over 1 mln tons of mill products.
"The production of key items grew in 2016 y-o-y: cast iron production was 19. percent up, stell - 8.5 percent, mill products - 39.9 percent, coke - 31.3 percent."
DPR metal industry comprises steel, coke and metalworking plants with the total of 48 enterprises in operation.*ot
