Donetsk, Nov 2 — DAN. Tractors and combine harvesters have made up nearly 40 percent of agricultural machinery supplies to the Donetsk People’s Republic from Rosagroleasing, Russia’s largest state-owned agro-industrial leasing company.
“Eighty-eight pieces of agricultural equipment were supplied including six harvesters, 27 tractors and 53 attachments, ” the Russian Agriculture Ministry told the Donetsk News Agency.
This equipment had been used in harvesting and winter crop sowing.
DAN earlier reports said that DPR farmers had applied for leasing 580 pieces of agricultural machinery since May. As of August, Rosagroleasing had delivered to the region more than 260 pieces of equipment worth over 1.7 billion rubles.
Rosagroleasing’s activity is aimed at the modernization of the domestic agricultural sector by leasing means of production to agribusinesses.*jk
