Donetsk, Apr 4 – DAN. The sowing of early spring cereals began in the area of the village of Volodarskoye to the north-west of Mariupol, the DPR Ministry of Agricultural Policy and Food said.
“In the liberated Volodarskoye district, the sowing campaign of early grain crops has begun as local farmers have started sowing spring barley,” the report said.
This is the first liberated area to begin a sowing campaign, the Ministry told DAN.
Earlier, the DPR Head visited the Sartana village north-est of Mariupol and raised issues of farm lands demining and supply of sowing seeds,
In late March, sowing of early spring cereals and legumes, as well as industrial crops, began in the Republic. Spring wheat, barley, oats, peas and corn are to be sown on an area of 74.7 thousand hectares, sunflower, mustard and flax take 56.9 thousand hectares. *ot
