Donetsk, Aug 22 – DAN. DPR and Vodafone representatives at the Minsk talks of the economic group have agreed to repair works at a connection line in Elenovka, said DPR envoy to the negotiations Denis Pushilin’s press secretary Viktoria Talakina.
"Our representatives have managed to persuade Vodafone experts that it is necessary to repair this particular line. The plan of joint actions has been laid down. Ukrainian delegation promised to file a respective request, and as the sides provide security guarantees engineers shall begin their work."
The fiber-optic communication line in Elenovka is a key line for the Vodafone mobile network. After a glitch at the line in early 2018, Vodafone has been experiencing connection failures in the region. The network was down in the DPR for three month and a half and was restored only on April 27, though the signal is not stable. *ot
