Donetsk, Nov 22 — DAN. Russia will restore more than 2,000 megawatt worth of power generation capacity in the new territories in the next two years, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak said at a Government Hour session in the Federation Council upper House of the Russian parliament.

 “We plan to restore more 400 power grid facilities and 1,300 kilometers of trunk gas pipelines, ” Novak said in online broadcast.

Other plans and projects are aimed at boosting the domestic market capacity and the country’s large energy reserve.

The Russian Energy Ministry earlier noted considerable improvements in gas and electricity supply to the new regions including the ongoing construction of the Taganrog-Melitopol pipeline. The DPR socio-economic development program for 2023-2025 envisions 126 gas supply projects worth 39 billion rubles. *jk
