Donetsk, May 5 – DAN. Water supply to the Kievskiy district of Donetsk has been halted following Ukrainian armed forces attack, the DPR mission to the Joint Centre for Control and Coordination (JCCC) said.
Ukrainian armed forces shelled northern Donetsk with mortars twice on Wednesday evening.
The shelling left northern water duct pump damaged located at Domostroiteley street 2. The premises of the pumping station also sustained damage, as well as a residential house at Krenkelya street 12.
The shelling is ongoing, the pumping station personnel has taken to shelter.
All the attempts to reinstall the ceasefire through the coordination mechanism failed as Ukrainian ignored the requests.
Ukrainian armed forces also shelled Gorlovka outskirts with 120 mm mortars on Wednesday evening. One of the attacks originated from Shumy.
Shumy is located close to the Severskiy Donets – Donbass water duct, a major water pipe in Donbass supplying water to both sides of the contact line. The water facility often comes under Ukrainian fire, which causes interruptions in supply. *ot
