Donetsk, Oct 15 - DAN. Two Ukrainian servicemen have been killed and one has been wounded in a hazing incident near the Shirokino village east of Mariupol, the Donetsk People’s Republic People’s Militia press service reported on Tuesday.
“The incident occurred at Ukrainian army positions in the Shirokino village area as 36th Brigade serviceman Prokopenko opened fire with an assault rifle at his colleagues during relief of the guard,” the report said.
Ukrainian soldiers returned fire severely wounding Prokopenko who later died in a Mariupol hospital. The total casualties from the shootout were two dead and one wounded.*jk
