Donetsk, Nov 3 – DAN. Gunmen of Ukraine’s Pravyi Sector (Right Sector, a far-right Ukrainian nationalist political and paramilitary group of neofascist ideology) have begun mopping up DPR supporters in Pravdovka village (Ukrainian name is Staraya Nikolayevka), located in Ukraine-occupied Konstantinovka district, DPR Operations Command deputy chief Eduard Basurin told a news briefing at the Donetsk News Agency on Thursday.
“We’ve learnt about cases of torture of local residents by nationalists in Pravdovka village (20 kilometres west of Gorlovka – eds Donetsk News Agency), where women make up 60 to 70 percent of the population,” Basurin said. “The Pravyi Sector gunmen numbering over 100 who arrived there on 30 October, are hunting down the locals with links to DPR.”
The radicals drive people out in the streets and threaten them into shouting nationalist slogans at gunpoint. They also deployed artillery to the centre of the village and fired to intimidate civilians, he added.
On 30 October, DPR intelligence reported that the Ukrainian command deployed military hardware, munitions, and a hundred Pravyi Sector gunmen to the frontline.
